Our creative center is based in the Greater Cincinnati Area and we employ creative, programming, and marketing resources from across the US and overseas to make certain that the right forces are working for your project. SygnalWorks understands how, in marketing, there is a natural order of things. Branding comes first. Visual and verbal materials such as brochures, ads and websites get the word out. We take our client's through a proprietary creative process that results in smart, goal-oriented communications. Whether you need assistance with a single project, or would like us to develop a complete campaign, SygnalWorks is committed to bringing you more than a great design, we will create well-designed vehicles to drive you towards your goals.
The founder of SygnalWorks, Greg Corwin, has seen a lot of changes in his career. He got his start in photography at a very young age and began shooting developing and printing B&W photos after taking a course at the Baker-Hunt Art and Cultural Center in Covington. In his late teens he went on to the U.S. Naval Schools of Photography which was rated among the top 10 photography schools at the time. After serving in the Navy he worked in commercial photo labs and then became a freelance photographer using the business name Image Genesis, all while studying Art and Geology at San Diego State University. In 1995 his professional life was altered due to a very forward-thinking professor which stated that all "papers" for the class would only be accepted if they were posted on the internet. After a semester of helping classmate build webpages for their "papers" he recognized that this internet thing was going to be big. Really big. That was the seed that grew into Greg becoming a web designer just as the dot-com era boomed in the late 90's.
Over the course of the next two+ decades he has seen technologies come and go (remember Flash?) and has always kept up with "what's new". Ever the fan of the Teddy Roosevelt quote “Whenever you are asked if you can do a job, tell 'em, 'Certainly I can!' Then get busy and find out how to do it.” he was once asked by a client if he knew anything about digital signage. "Of course" was the answer he gave, which led his company into another technology path, digital signage at which time he changed his company name to SygnalWorks. After trying many different ways of delivering content to flat panel TV's for his clients he stumbled on a Raspberry Pi - a very small, very powerful, and inexpensive computer capable of running complex code. This combination of technology and his ingenuity allowed him to create a proprietary software suite that allows people with only a limited amount of instruction to create and manage content for digital signage at an extremely affordable cost.
